Pirate stuff, 19th century stuff, the possibility of freeing me from my never-changing hairstyle - They're just playing to my weaknessesThe eleventh in a series of comics I'm writing. I've learned a lot of things from my year on dA: various memes, styles and terminologies.
This week, Kuroshitsuji - or, if you like, Black Butler. Another of the world's massively popular anime series. And, like others of its kind, it's found its way onto deviantART. I actually have nothing against the storyline or the characters - in fact I'm relatively intrigued by it all. It's the fans reaction that rather overwhelms me. I mean really? Yaoi between a grown man (well technically he's a demon, but come on) and a twelve year-old boy? I don't care how effeminate he is, that's just weird. So yeah, this week's issue is more about the fans than the actual series
Oh and just because I said that I'm "relatively intrigued" by the series does not mean 'try and make me like it.' Seriously, there is no challenge here - so don't make one... please

kuroshitsuji is a good anime, but read the manga. It's better, and the anime is definitely breaking off.

I heard from my sister's boyfriend that the second season of the anime actually DOES have yaoi between sebastian and ciel. But he could have made it up >.> I have to see it to believe it.

I don't know,it's a teens show. There are so many things to say against it yet so many that could make it possible. Like the fact that the author is actual a yaoi manga artist and things...But it doesn't say YAOI in the description o.O I have to watch it or it's going to annoy me

Nope.
The majority of anime isn't label for children it's mostly for all ages.
The japanese culture is different then most western society on what they view as adult content etc.
They aren't so uptight about nudity or the like.

I'm a serious anime fan (of certain series, I haven't watched the one with the character in question). But even if you had used a series I know and love, it would still be funny. Once again, people find ways of taking it too far. I mean, I've watched shows that inspire me because they hit close to home on a certain topic. Or a character is a lot like who I see myself as (alter-ego maybe?). I even have a hair cut similar to Llyod Asplund from Code Geass (that wasn't done on purpose,and my hair isn't purple). But even being a fan, I try not to badger people about a particular anime unless I know that they 1. like anime, and 2. aren't bothered by my possible craziness about the series (some anime just really inspire me to draw, or sing. It's weird.).
