Description
This is my present for the lovely , a very good friend of mine, for his birthday which I'm ashamed to say was 9 days ago
Obviously I couldn't finish it on time 
I'd like to say that 1. I had to paint quite fast so excuse the possible mistakes, and 2. I used a reference for part of the figure, an amazing photo by ~Maledicta who has some wonderful stock

Now I'm an even bigger fan of violins, since there's such a pretty lady involved
I love the hair, how it's hanging over her eye - makes her look really impish. And that she's not smiling makes it even better, because you wouldn't expect somebody in this position to be glaring so intently. Awesome work!

I miss friend's birthdays all the time. At least you finished something? Usually once their birthday is past I go "Oh well, there's always next year!" *chuckles*
And this is lovely, so many warm tones, yet the figure clearly stands out. Nothing is muddy or ... too busy? It's quite the lovely image you've done.

Absolutely beautiful! I would say that I'm sure he will enjoy it, but it looks like he saw it before me .. and that he IS enjoying it.
The pose, the colors the hair .. it all works so well together. I don't have anything to say to suggest improvement except .. do more! I want to see more!

Isn't that the way it goes! Inspiration is so .. impossible sometimes! I totally understand. You're there, enjoying yourself, having idea after idea come and then POOF! It's all gone. I wish you could bottle it up and save it for later .. I'm sure you could sell inspiration and make a fortune!

I'm sure the person who learns to do that will be richer than Bill Gates but also... isn't inspiration unique for everyone? I think if I had your inspiration I wouldn't be quite like myself and vice versa. Uniqueness is the treasure in art after all.
