Downbot was a Robot Super in The Incredibles: Super Vs. Machine.

Biography

Originally working in a doctor's office or a mechanic in a robot factory., he pursued a life of villain work after feeling underappreciated and wanting a "metallic" line of work.

Early in his Robot Supervillain career, Downbot had little recognition in the Robot Super community and called himself an "onlooker". However, he began to gain acceptance later on.

After becoming a Robot Super, Downbot became infatuated with the robot supervillain Blazebot, though these feelings were unrequited.

Downbot was one of the Robot Supers created by Dr. Robotico for Operation Roboticization. The Operation Roboticization database asigned him a threat rating of 6.5. He was badly damaged the Dronoid v.X2 but was subsequently damaged by the Dronoid v.X3 during the training sessions for Operation Roboticization.

Abilities

Atomic Manipulation: Downbot superpowers centered around manipulate atoms, allowing him to reshape matter and heal minor wounds. His powers had limitations, however; he could not reshape matter into complex forms and his reshaping of organics was limited to small wounds. This resulted in him undergoing NRSA training to develop his abilities.

Personality

Downbot has a rivalry with Frostron for Blazebot's affections; his NRSA file warns to not bring Frostron up in conversation due to this. It is implied from Downbot's recording that he has struggled to gain widespread acceptance within the Robot Super community.

Trivia

During Mr. Incredible's discovery of Operation Roboticization, Downbot's file erroneously lists his powers as "flight" and "gaseous expulsions," powers instead attributed to Stormitron.
