Description This is Princess Ai from a storyling I am developing. Well, at least is was Princess Ai. I recently decided out of the blue to search the character names for this story in wikipedia, and found this [link] which is exactly the same, so I'm changing the name to attempt to keep things original. I still haven't decided what to name her yet, but so far my ideas are: Atara, Kadisha, & Meira. She is 94 years old. Yes, 94. She's quite young actually, as in this world, the entire environment is completely different from our own, and favors long life. Most humans live into thier 800 or 900's, and the Elves (what's left of them at least) and Fæ are immortal. As of the beginning of the story, she is being held prisoner by the Half-Elf Sorceress Sultana, who is preparing to force her, as the heir of house Tyvon, to marry her son, the man with no name (no, I'm not being chichéd, he just doesn't have a name yet), therefore taking advantage of an ancient prophecy regarding a union between the two houses, as an attempt to legally lay claim over the other house. Gaelin, the heir to house Caedus, and the one who is truely supposed to marry her sets out to rescue her. Yeah, I know, the standard "damsel in distress being rescued by the dashing knight" plotline used over and over, but it's only the beginning, there's much more to it than that.

Still working on the textures for the clothing, only about 30% complete. Any design suggestions are welcome, as it's still early in the character creation process.

Actually, why not Princess Ai? I thought that was good, and I even thought that she must be from an existing game at first. btw I'm here!!! (on deviantArt, to state the obvious)

Well, why not? [link]
I just didn't want to have a character with both the same name and title as another manga character that appears to be the complete opposite as this char. I might change back, who knows, still early in the development process.

Super nifty. ^_^ I don't have the equipment to do 3D graphics, but I sure do find them great to look at. (One of my favorite movies is The Incredibles.)

Thanks! ^^

There are some 3D programs out there that are free if you ever care to try yourself, two examples would be DAZ Studio [link] and Blender [link]

Yeah, The Incredibles was an awesome movie.

Ooh lovely! She looks great Her design looks really nice so far but a little incomplete. Just needs a few more details. Something hanging of the belts/cords around her waist and something more on her wristband. Yeah, so helpful eh? One thing specific I would suggest is to move the crest on her shirt up to the top half somewhere. I don't know if you had something in mind by putting it there but to me it's visualy off-putting.

And do I detect trace influences from Narnia here or am I mad?

Yeah, on her, it's mostly the details at this point. The wristband I didn't even start on the details on that one yet. As for hanging something on the cords holding up the half-skirt, that's a good idea and I might try that.

The crest is actually on a breastplate piece of armor. The shirt underneath is just plain at the moment. I might move it up onto the shirt, but I'm not sure if I want anything on it or not. I was considering re-working the armor, and if I do, I might make it higher.

And no... >_> There are no traces of Narnia here... <_< I don't know what you're talking about >_>

Ooh okay that's armor! You might want to make that armor a little shinier. Looks like cloth. I think you should definitely put the crest on her shirt though. You don't usually see crests on armor. It's always on something cloth - usually tunic/shirt whatever you want to call it. (At least....all I've seen )

Oh, right, I forgot, it's also clothy-looking b/c I'm in the process of making it similar in style to the clothing worn by Gaelin, who is technically of the "Warrior/Fighter" Class, and ironically, somehow immune to the previous rule of class-armor, as he should be wearing plate armor.

Well, it's more of a heavy cloth armor. Since I'm basing this in a world initially designed for an RPG, I'm basing much of the characters abilities/costumes on a character system. As she would fit under the "White Mage" category, she would traditionaly have cloth armor. As for the crest being on a shirt, it is traditionally (in real life) on a tabard, which (if I'm not mistaken) is a garment worn above the armor to identify the knight. Since she only had the two layers, I put it directly on the armor. However, the more I'm thinking about it, being on the shirt itself might be the way to go. Thanks for all your input! ^^
