I really love this. I was trying hard to achieve that dirty sick atmosphere of despear.
There are many people who compare this fanfic to cupcakes and I understand why.
But in my opinion these are completely different.
I tried to put something more than just gore and blood as illustration. Thats because it is not blood that was hard and shocking for me.
I am immune to that kind of stuff so fuck it.
It is - betrayal that was shocking.
While it is much easier to imagine Pinky becoming maniac (she so random ^_^) it is completely impossible for me to fit that kind of acting for Dashy.
Element of Loyalty, I felt cripling horror realising here twisted madness. It was s stunning picture beautiful and horrible by its nature.
This is the moment of Scootaloos shock right before she broke up shoutng in anger.
Every other person in picture is uneven and blurry. It is not about them. The figures behind Scoot are her thoughts about everything happening. Unsure and random.
Those two figures by sides of Dash are two parts of her current mentality.
The guy to the right is rage. overwhelming and powering. the one driving.
The guy to the right is sorrow. I bet you have'nt notices teardroping in midair.
That is because I still loved Dashy while I was reading fanfic. Just like Scootaloo did till the end. And I felt sad for her fall.
It is cool story and I love it because of its strong and powerfull flow, like it was written within single breath.
P.S my English sucks when I try to express myself. sorry about that.
And you can see that there is a gap in the background where you can fly to. There is always an option. Fuck everything and go for it Scoot.

No , no . What I mean is the way I drew or interpretate this version of RD is ...different . [link] There it is man, I was influenced by the multiple fanarts and my favourite x-men villain (no it's not Magneto , to hell with the overexposed buckethead !) so I injected all the elements I could think of in RD 's psyche resulting into this ! And I know it's somewhat of a departure from the design in the fic , but I don't think it harms the character that much . Or does it ?

You know I'm not an 'easy-to-scare' person, but at 01AM... After 7 hours of 'happy and peaceful' coding and vectoring, then reading that...

I was listening to track nonstop while drawing that. Sometimes standing up and walking around apartment, pulling myself to emotional edge of sadness, outrage and desperation. So much fun.

Here's something I don't quite get with the MLP fandom. No I am not insulting the artist. This is a very nice drawing. The author of the fan fic did a nice job too considering how crappy fanfics tend to be.
And yet I never see creepy stuff like this with other fandoms. For some reason I've only seen MLP get the dark stuff. I don't quite understand why. Slash and dirty stuff is one thing because everybody does that with fandoms.
Is it just the older fanbase? Or do I have to start worrying for humanity again? ( No I'm not talking about the artist and fic author again I'd rather not get flamed thank you ) Perhaps it's just a personal taste thing and I'm being crabby about it. It just confuses me.

Who knows. I had some ideas and wanted to write a proper article about this question but I got distracted and stuff.
This is a very poweful feeling, when you destroy something nice and sweet to make something dark and horrible that causes so much emotions.
This pic is not so very dark at all. There is something else in my gallery that, I think is much more creepy and touching. At least for me.

When one feels an urge to do something... you just got to let idea out of your head and see what happens. You just want something and it happens. Thats actually the only reason I need to do anything.
Every nonnewbie brony artist\writer\musician I know does something else except ponies. Bronies just do what they like, but creativity will go beyond MLP series.
Best brony is the the one who brings magic of friendship elsewhere but ponies. Like everywhere.

I think it's because when you look at other stuff...like the Halo fans there is already some messed up stuff while MLP is all cute and cuddly. This gives opportunities for really messing it up and turn it completely upside down into stuff like Rainbow Factory and Cupcakes. It's just a hunch but I think it's like that.

Like that cartoon where you see these cute things getting mutilated? I forget what it's called. I'm not trying to insult this part of the fandom I guess I'm just confused. I actually read the fanfic even though I didn't want to at first. But my stupid curiosity got the better of me. I was thinking to myself "This would be scarier if it wasn't MLP related." But that's just my opinion. I felt the author could've written something cool if it wasn't a fanfic. I can't delve into Cupcakes. I love the smile song way too much I don't want it ruined for me XD
