Why am I so angry? Well, allow me to explain:
Now, Azura has the more complex design of the two, so she should have taken the longest. And she would have. If it weren't for the fact that 95% of the way through the Ruby sprite, my laptop spontaneously decided to log off without saving. First the trolling, and then this. Today has not been my day o DA. So basically, I lost all of my progress on Ruby's sprite, as well as an alternate version of Azura with a different pallet and changed stripes (that one was my original intent; it had a light blue shade covering the stripes that are currently white and turquoise, and black and seafoam green stripes where the black and turquoise stripes are now. It didn't look as good as this one.)

Anyways, I had to completely redraw Ruby. Which version was better, the world will never know, because it's gone forever, and wasn't on my recovery drive. They are similar, but I remember that the original had her hair swooshed more towards the front, her right eye was slightly more visible, her horns were rounder a la Sinfest, and she was holding her microphone at a steeper angle.

And now that that's out of the way...

These are Azura and Ruby, the current player characters for akuoreo.deviantart.com/ and msfhwraith.deviantart.com/ on their RPG/Webcomic. Aren't they adorable?
Azura is an artist, while Ruby is a singer-songwriter. Naturally, I had Ruby use her stand-up microphone as a Billy Kane staff.

Ruby being used as Wraith's icon also caused an incident on Twitter about a year ago, where he ended up being dogpiled by a group of harassers for having an "anime avatar" and couldn't seem to comprehend that anyone with Jessica Rabbit breasts could have any character depth. Which is ironic, since Jessica Rabbit herself had plenty of character depth. Also, someone said that Aakashi couldn't be female because this person didn't like how she drew Ruby's breasts.

These took about an hour each. So, three combined hours at least. They are entirely custom made, with the exception once again being the head, which was used as a base for a lot of NGP heads. Specifically, this came from Morrigan Aensland.
