Description
A man among machines is a vulnerable thing indeed.___
Henry Lemon, Midwestern life-long farmer. He lost his fingers in a farming accident over thirty years ago. Before that, he came home from Vietnam to a fiance who had renounced him. Before that, he was born one of four children on a secluded northern-Wisconsin farm, not knowing he would work himself into the deep ground there.
One of the most under-appreciated men I've ever known.

Thank you very much. It has been published, and I gave my uncle a copy of the book and the photo and he actually teared up, if you can believe that, haha. I was happy to make him feel that people appreciate him.

It takes more then hard work to build a life. There must also be blood and iron.

The image is very powerful and overwhelmingly real. I'm glad you're taking the time to appreciate your uncle. Have you let him know that?

I did: when this was published, I made sure to give him a copy of the publication, and when I won a county fair photo show with it, I gave him the winning print. He teared up; it made me very happy to see him feel so appreciated!
