Otto did say he did bad things like stealing robot parts when he was young, but that was a long time ago, so the statute of limitations would be up on that.

Tom seems to at least know what Otto's perspective on this whole thing is... "Not that I can blame you." He may have made some terrible decisions thus far, but if he still cares about protecting people using Jupiter's shield technology, then he must still have a conscious. If that's enough to give him a shot at redemption though who's to say? (Other than you, of course. 
Thank you for not making mere black and white villains on this whole thing though. Nothing's ever that concise.

He's definitely into the whole protection thing, and he did seem a bit relieved that he could get the information from Otto rather than destroying Jupiter to get it.

Also, I just want to lament over Otto's perceived fate. Prison is never a good place for an innocent man, especially one who's so opposed to violence as Otto is.

It feels very topical, having a corrupt cop as your villain. Boy howdy do I want to see Tom suffer. Humiliated, and then made to suffer. I don't care how "noble" his intentions, he's abusing his power and arrogantly thinking he can get away with it. He deserves to die.

I don't know about you, but I've never had a good experience with a cop or any member of law enforcement. :/
They've either been useless or just plain rude.

Oh, I know. Guys in general get more grief from them (and of course guys of color even more so). Still, any time I come across a cop I get the distinct feeling I'm in danger. It ain't right!
