Taken using high speed flash, a large seamless and two very talented dancers. they were both about two feet off the ground when I took this. This image is the result of many, many takes.Related content

try add some more white under theyr feet, make the image highrt with them on the top half of the image. this way the flyght is much more belivable!

wow. just ...wow. that's one fabulous picture. i'm a dancer, and it is VERY hard to stay in any one pose for very long. (I've always admired photographers for costume books, they sometimes get the most amazing poses at the last second possible.)

Normally I'm not a big fan of photography but this picture is just amazing. The motion you've captured here is perfect and the background... yesh. I wouldn't even know where to begin to get a shot like that. Amazing work.

You captured their movement beautifully. The white background usually doesn't work well in too many pieces, but it really helps emphasize the dancers nicely in this. Only that moment matters and nothing else. Anyway, I can see how it took you so many shots, but it was worth it! Great job!

No this was shot as is. The background is one stop higher than subjects. There are four lights pointed at BG which is about 15X15 feet (custom). You can see the floor on some of my other dance images. Usually the light washes out the floor as it did here. Thanks for viewing and commenting!
