Stunning detail throughout, this would be quite a dark and mennacing image but for the yellow of the sun. Beautifull.

Well, actually I was abducted by aliens, and taken to some distant planet in a faraway galaxy, but I managed to escape and took some nice photos there
Thanks!

Wow, that looks absolutely stunning. I like the constrast of the dark water, stones and sky and the glitter on the stones. Really beautiful

I've never seen HDr used like this.... it usually lightens! Can I ask did the three images span either side of the correctly exposed shot and how dark was that middle shot? Its like you taken a photo of night and day combined... impressed!

Well, the thing is, that the original HDR image was much brighter, so I've done some post-processing. Think of it as darkened HDR, or something like that .
It was a sunset, so the middle shot looks pretty much like an ordinary sunset shot.
Thank you!

I thought if you had 3 underexposed shots and one normal ( as opposed to having overexposed shot to balance the underexposed) then your HDR would be correspondingly darker.. must try.... you have encouraged me to try HDRI on shot I usually would'nt think of doing it.. eg [link]

ROLL-MODEL [2006-08-10 10:09:01 +0000 UTC]
Hi. I'm new. When I saw this and a few other pieces of your work, I wanted to gush. But I also wanted to wait (Pls see my journal, Aug 9, esp fourth to last para; also my faves). I've now seen your entire gallery... I no longer want to wait. From the get-go I could easily relate to your mental concepts and images, and all the things that capture your attention and imagination. Now all that's left for me is to dare to dream of being able to execute like you. Ha!
But I also like your persona - very decent of you to try to reply to everyone, and be so gracious about it. (Who's the Roll Model, here?)
Be inspired, man, shoot 'em up - the fotos, that is... I'll be watching...
