Okay, so I couldn't scan the pic so I just took one with my digi cam. It's Shadow...yeah that emo guy..the Sasuke of the Sonic group. But anywho, was done on some Strathmore bristol board and I used my trusty trusty PITT pens, just a bit of ink, and my dying Prisma markers.Related content

Hot-cold contrast is always nice, but you've done a terrific job using only the hot palette associated with Shadow. No shortage of contrast, of course, when you pair those magnificent reds and golds with a black background. Speaking of which, I love how you have made a black hedgehog actually stand out against a black background. Your coloring never ceases to impress.
Not sure if the background & foreground elements were supposed to evoke partly-cooled lava, but that's a perfect metaphor for Shadow's demeanor. I wonder if that's what his color scheme was originally supposed to evoke...
(And before someone else brings it up, he barely looks anything like any of the Black Arms, save maybe their logo.)

This is INCREDIBLY good. Definitely one of your best sketches yet (prowled through your gallery a bit). The effects are massively gorgeous, and I especially love the yellow/orange/red gradient in the lava flow.
