Hehe thank you Luckily you just have to model every piece once

Love it! The lighting and perspective look tremendous. Now I wanna build one.

I don't know if perfect realism is your goal but if it is you might want to round the ends of the + axes a little more. The real ones are never that perfect. Same goes for the tyres, they are usually a little less shiny.

Thank's a lot! Of course it is! Good tip, maybe I can implement it in my current project but i guess it's to late now (there are already +1200 pieces and several axes, stay tuned ;D) But I will definitely Β revise the Tyre-Shader Β

Oh wow, that's fantastic! Great job! Β That's what my goal is too; build up a library. This makes for some great contributions! I haven't done any of those rounded pieces with holes yet.
I like what you did with the background scene too.

Thank's a lot! I have to admit that I used the LDraw Library as a template and revised them (Still up to 6 hours per piece..)Β
I had no idea what to do with the background, to be honest.. I'm glad you like it

Guess I never heard what LDraw Library is. But that works too!
You're welcome!

LDraw is a pretty accurate library of all (yep, all) Lego pieces There is a Add-On to import them. But like I said, they need a whole lot of revision
www.ldraw.org/

I'm now using it as a template to reproduce them in a CAD-program and import them back to Blender (even more accurate!Β )
It takes some time but wow, that looks awesome

Oh wow, that's cool! That would be very useful! So there's an addon to import them into Blender?

How fun! I should get to making Lego mini-figures for some characters I want to do in Lego.

Yes just download the complete pack,
www.ldraw.org/parts/latest-par…

install this Add-On
wiki.blender.org/index.php/Ext…

and have fun

But in the final result, on top of the studs, there is never the logo shown?

Maybe because of copyrights? I don't know

Hmmm.... could be. I am studying it:

But I cannot figure it out at the moment.

Hm sounds like we could make our own "not-Lego" bricks?Β  Β

It's already on the market. Until now, I never understood how it was possible that a large drugstore retailer in my country advertised with Lego look-a-likes.

Cool, Thanks! I'll have to check those out! I usually don't like to directly copy from things, but this will come in very handy for parts that are more sculpted without precise measurements, like the little hair wigs, hats and such.

Yes me neither That's Β why i'm now using it as a reference to make them on my own
