Thanks a lot! The Japanese Sonic CD is really rad so I was inspired to use that as a springboard to move the illustration more towards my current tastes! More emphasis on expressions and dynamic angles to get the energy I was looking for!

I like the concept of the original Japanese cover but I one of the reasons I drew my own version of the cover is because I thought Robotnik could look more menacing and dramatic with a perspective push (and that Amy could stand to have a bit more attention drawn to her)

Right, righto. I prefer this by miles, haha. Menacing Robotnik hell yeah, makes me take it more seriously, and I'm a sucker for art that's more dramatic or serious anyway. Especially the dark shading across his face. Love the way you've drawn Amy too and her clothing
