In this redesign he's a partially cybernetic warmachine. The base monster (yet unnamed) is actually plant-like, using photosynthesis. The energy absorbed by the shell powers the solar radiation cannon. The cannon can fire a blast of radioactive energy equal to 1.5 B83 nuclear bombs, the most powerful nuclear weapon in America's arsenal.
Its amazing how easy this was, the original pencil sketch took around 35 minutes, the inking 15, and the coloring was about another 45 minutes.

Thanks, it was like I was possessed when I did that. I just sat down with only a about half an hour before I had to start doing some of my actual work and before I knew it, I had finished the pencils.

yeah, when I woke up Wednesday night (work graves), I saw him in my mind. I wonder if I would've received the flash of inspiration if I played DnD as usual instead of sleeping in.
