I think they are scary in their own way. Analogman is easily repulsed and will do anything to fulfill his rage, even if it's his anger is caused by something so petty. On the other hand, Von Hamelin is mostly unpredictable and cunning. He is able to read others like books due to his experience as a professional gambler.
