Markings: Fullbody white markings, some spots of base colour on left side of neck, patch of base colour on top of head which connects to forelock, covering the ears. Light greying visible on head areas, subtle greying on visible neck area.
Build: Straight profile. Short, strong legs, powerful hindquarters. Compact hooves. Short, curved back with prominent withers. Neck is on the short side, but well-balanced. Fluffy fetlocks and gets a thick winter coat.

History: Spandau was one of Mason's horses from his original stable, Hollow Point Range in Arizona, however, he had to part with nearly all his horses when he sold the stable, this included selling her. After setting up in Australia with Hollow Point Ranch, Aiden received an email from the person who bought Spandau in the sale, and he was re-selling her and thought to notify Mason before offering her to any other buyers. Aiden on the sly purchased her back and gave her back to Mason as a surprise. In America, she had been trained in mainly mounted shooting and reining, however, the buyer also trained her in cutting as he was using her for station work.

Personality: Spandau is absolutely bomb-proof. Nothing startles her. She was a confident young filly and that confidence carried on in her golden years. Mason noticed this early on and trained her in mounted shooting due to it. She knows her worth and knows she is the star of the show. She carries herself beautifully with her head high. She is very sociable and has a bit of a "herd leader" kind of mentality. She will kick up a fuss if she doesn't get social time during the day. She also requires daily grooming and she loves it. She sits well for brushing and for the farrier. Oddly enough, even though she loves being bathed, she hates any kind of open water. She will refuse to move if her rider tries to convince her to go through a creek, or on the beach. Her favourite treats are fruits and veg, she is a sucker for anything crunchy like carrot and celery.
