I see your people spend a lot of time on tropical vacations having fun. But it's really a wonderful scene.

Only when they've reached high level so they can afford to spend their considerable amount of cash in a pleasant way!!

perfection, U thought it was a photograph at first. So many great individual characters and the light and environment is so natural.  Pure awesomeness

Thank you Joe. The main work is done with lighting since characters are for the most part, 2nd 3rd and 4th generation no genesis down here. So I have to be very careful.

Beautiful scene.  I like how vivid and varied the colors are, and how there are so many interesting things going on the background.  But even with all that color and background activity, you've still managed to draw our eyes to the foreground and the main character.

This scene would be a beautiful and interesting work of art regardless of the medium.  But I have to say that I'm in awe of your rendering abilities.  Preparing a scene like this must have been an insane amount of work, considering the number of characters and your obvious attention to detail, including poses, expressions, clothing, materials, props, and so on.

I noticed in your response to another comment that the main character uses V3 as a base, which just demonstrates again that it is the artist, not the tools, that creates the artwork.  The character is lovely and convincing in this context, regardless of the figure used to create her.

Thank you so much for the comment.
I would like to add that concerning the amount of work, it's still moderate, i.e around 16 hours, conception, lighting, rendering (1h49) and postwork.
And you're right about still using 3rd generation of characters. Yes, it implies a bit more work designing the pose as well as the lighting, but in the end the result could be what you're looking for. Not mentioning the fact that those characters are so light in weight,  one can populate nearly as many people as wanted in the scene.
Cheers!!

Only 16 hours?  That's amazing.

As for third generation, I hadn't thought about how light they are on resources, and how that would be beneficial to these types of scenes.  Interesting.

dungeonmeister In reply to TheOtherThoreandan [2017-11-29 07:10:25 +0000 UTC]

Since rendering is only 1h49 and postwork only 2, I have plenty of time to do the others parts. BTW I often use 3rd and even 2nd generation characters in the background. You can put quite a bunch o thel in your scene. You should try.

Stunning work. Great choice of costume for the main character at middle left; it really makes her stand out from the background and secondary characters.

V3? Wouldn't know it from the end result.

This is the challenge, as well as to be able to place so many people in on scene!

That must be hard on resources (and patience).
