Description
This is the unpainted bottom half of a sculpture I'm working on right now. I'm also hoping to turn it into a national art competition. The finished project should be up within a day or so.. Let me know what you think.Related content

very cool concept. It could use a few rounds of roughing and smoothing
Since the project has no real bottom I would have suspended it via a wire out of the top of the head for sculpting (think hangmans noose) That way I wasn't screwing up details ont he side laying down.
Not sure what you are sculpting it out of, but I use a mild solvant during my smoothing process. (type depends on clay)
erm lets see what else.... I am not sure if you have an armature inside the sculpture, but if you made an armature (which is needed to suspend the sculpture) you could have armature wire extending down which you form the drips around. This would let you make them "impossibly thin" yet the sculpture would be rock steady.
I am being told i am being overly "judgemental" by the person over my shoulder... I am writing all this because I like the piece and twer I to do somethign similiar those are the steps I would take. ^_^

lol! Not being overly judgmental at all! I really appreciate it. Actually the finished product is here---> [link]
Alrighty.. where to start. lol The sculpture is super sculpey. The finished sculpture is suspended on a wire and she does have an armature going up the blue "paint spill." You can actually see it in the third picture.
What clay do you use? What mild solvent do you use? When I use sculpey, I usually sand it down with a fine sand paper, but it's still rough in places and I don't like that. :/ The only one that came out decently was this sculpture-> [link] But lets talk through notes- I'm really interested in picking your brain!
