♚ Personality::
Apathetic | Carefree | Lazy | Childish | Kind | Team-oriented | Shy
Chess shows a variety of emotions, but that is the overall summary above. He is usually described as childish and his social skills are primitive. He does actively try to get along with people, but isn't very good at it because he just doesn't know how; he is always open to listen to someone’s feelings though. He is very lax at times and procrastinates on his work to the point where he will deliberately avoid those that are pressuring him, generally done through hiding or feigning ailment/death/injury. He won’t even bother caring for his daily needs. If the chance comes up that he’s actually working, he is determined and will get things done quickly and without fail. He is good with people, physically that is, and knows who to pair who with for the best results he wants (what he wants may not even be a complete mission). He is smart and can change his plans quickly and efficiently to fit the demands to what he has.
Unfortunately, he is prone to moody, woe-is-me episodes that generally happen after a stressful event. He will avoid people before and during these times and will physically appear upset towards people that find him in these states even though he actually needs human interaction. He can’t communicate his feelings at all and his heart is described as a “one-way” road.

Summary:
Adrian’s life had started out fine, he had a younger brother and loving parents that did no wrong in his eyes. The balance shifted a little when his parents had their first “big” fight in front of the children. Another fight after that ended the marriage and the children were left confused. Their mother told them what to tell people about their father, that he was nasty and mean, and that quickly became their reality. The mother that got custody over the two brothers began to slowly delve into years of hypochondria and medical induced highs. Adrian was fast to jump into the new role of taking care of his incapable mother but left his little brother in a position of fault in their mother’s eyes because he did nothing to help her. When Adrian realized this he stepped up to reconnect with his brother and the younger quickly gained a spot as the most important thing in Adrian’s life, even over the technology that the elder had become obsessed with. One day, the happy and dysfunctional family had a tragedy happen. Under influence with Adrian’s younger brother in the car, the mother totaled the family car and effectively killed both of them. This left Adrian alone until he was contacted by authorities while he was in class to tell him what happened. Adrian had weeks of depression while the case of placement was handled and he was only half-aware of what was going on. He was slow to come out of this episode as well, barely getting out of it by the time his father officially claimed custody. After that he lived a fairly normal life: going to school, obsessing over computers, and basically being a boy. When the events of the eclipse happened, Adrian was quick to shift into new gears. While leading a faction wasn’t his first choice, he still tried to get into the swing of things fast. His views on being a leader changed when he came to the realization that his survival depended on it,
