Last night I cast my sight into the vastness of the Void, to see what I could see.
I found this strange creature and thought perhaps I'd share it with you all. . .

This my dear deviants, is an being known as "Bellyrubz, the Petting Horror."
It is a singular entity. Left over from before "The Great Expansions" that formed the fractal-madness that we call reality.
It exists between dimensions and as a result of this it is free slip in and out of any Universe that it so pleases.
There are however, massive limits existing in such a state. It can never stay materialized in one place for very long so it mostly keeps on the move. Jumping from one reality to the next.

I was fascinated by this creature in that, as horrifying as it may appear, it is surprisingly friendly and even empathetic. It seems to be quite intelligent as well, as it was able to speak coherently and with a certain level of high articulation that I normally wouldn't expect from a creature that came from the "Nothing."
It is hyper aware of it's own reality. It most certainly noticed me watching it's experiences as I popped in and out throughout it's timeline.
Though it noticed me often, it never engaged me. It seemed to purposely ignore me, almost as if it knew who I was and what I was doing.
The only acknowledgement I received was when it noticed my gaze. We'd lock eyes, but only for a moment.
It was those moments I felt it's acceptance of me.

I came to understand it's feelings on me were something along the lines of "Go ahead and See, Seer. You do your job and I'll do mine."
It was chilling every time it happened. I don't normally get noticed at all and when I do it's often met with malice and banishment.
It was oddly refreshing to experience such acceptance.
So I continued to observe the Multidimensional Horror go about it's timeline, playing it's role. I learned quite a lot about it.

You see, Bellyrubz is a great lover of the animals that end up considered as pets to a more cleaver species in their reality.
It spends it's existence slipping between realities, giving love and belly rubs to any and all of our little friends that may be in need of it.
Dogs and Cats. Raccoons and Skunks.
Billybumblers.
Snakes, Lizards and all manner of different Fishes.
Owls, Parrots, Crows, Ravens and the other Birds. Turtles and Frogs. Heffalumps and Woozles.
Rats, Bats and Foxes. Horses, Hogs and Cows. . .
No matter which Universe, if it is considered a "pet," it has likely encountered the Petting Horror, Bellyrubz.

This strange entity serves another purpose as well as giving love to lonely pets. It especially seeks out those who are being mistreated and neglected, for those pitiful creatures are those most deserving of love and ear scratches.
But it is in these situations that the meaning of it's horrific appearance is revealed. . .

Bellyrubz, the Petting Horror will haunt, harass and torture ANY being that chooses to mistreat their pets.
Depending on how egregious of a neglectful fiend you may be, is what determines the level of torture you will receive.
Most of the time Bellyrubz will try to use the experience to teach a lesson to the offender, perhaps to reform the way they would treat their pets in the future.
As I said, the Horror seems to be a Being of great empathy and would rather make someone a better Person, than to punish and kill them.

BUT, as one would expect, there are some beings who would rather remain ignorant to their own flaws and evil.
It makes it's meals of those who choose to shirk responsibility and redemption.

So perhaps think twice about leaving your dog chained outside, starving in a storm or throwing your new kitten against the wall when it scratched you because you blew weed smoke in it's face.

Maybe DON'T repeatedly kick your billybumbler when it won't speak for your party guests.
Or tie your snakes in a knot, just to see what would happen or use your turtle as a hockey puck. . .
Treat your Pets with love and respect and they will reciprocate in the most important ways.
Always keep them fed and sheltered and healthy and happy.
LOVE YOUR PETS, PEOPLE!

For if you don't, you may just end up confronted by something beyond comprehension. Something that, if it so chooses, can be quite foul. And Gods help you if it's hungry. . .

I hope you guys like my dumb little story for this very strange accidental character.
It started out as a drawing just to practice some techniques and it ended up being something decent.
I do love it when that happens.
