There sure is a lot of meaning behind this drawing that I see. We're chopping down trees and digging up places for buildings but we're hurting the animals and taking their homes away from them to make our houses and factories. I understand we need houses, but there sure are a lot of open fields out there we could use instead of forests and other habitats. As someone who loves animals and nature, pollution and habitat loss upset me. This is a very good way to show the damage we're doing to these animals. It's a really nice piece, too.

To me this is a very powerful, (and sad) statement of the price of spreading civilization. If we kill everything else off in our rush to expand, are we "civilized"? I think not.
