naa mate, the sony system is only connected to the 2 sony speakers and the sony sub. the diatones are on a pioneer amp, the horns were on a car amp due to them being only 2ohm, burnt them out from curring too much power thru them (forgot they are only 20w rms). the 15" speaker was rarely connected due to having no box.

oh i see, lol yeah that sucks they burnt out on ya
but the sony is a good system and i actually want one even though my current system is better i still would like to have one

i think 1 of the horns still works... but its in the shed right now.. want to upgrade the drivers in both.

the sony is still a great system, the 8" sub can go suprisingly low.. has no trouble getting the low bass of hip hop. and its loud enuf for normal use. the diatones are either side of the bed and have really good sound quality although they really need a sub (hence why i run the same source to both amps so i can use the sony for its low end responce)

oh yeah
well i agree it can get pretty low from what ive seen, although youd be surprised if you went on youtube or somewhere and searched bass tester songs and it will most likely get even lower before bottoming out, anyway yeah if you really want to get some bass search for plate amps and get like a 15" sub in a box and there ya go you got a powered subwoofer and those things pump

naa this system is more then enough for the room its in
and the bass goes lower then the 10" sub in my car (although the box for that is less then half what it should be ) cant get as low as the dual 12s i had in my last car tho..

mate of mine works for a company that does light and sound for concerts. his room is crazy. he has a rack of amps, and studio 'monitor' speakers in each corner... and then a dual 18" sub enclosure at the end of his bed

its crazy because its so over-the-top, but even better because it was all free.

wow, thats pretty amazing that he got all that for free, i realy wish i could get some of that for even a good deal, haha
but yep if you increase the size of the box and seal it up you might get some lower lows, lol

those horns are the only things at 8 ohms ... they were cheap but im still annoyd that i busted them. they were so loud. u cud hear the hiss of a tape on the other side of the house (and the house is made of solid brick and concrete!)
