Commission by [Taclobanon]The new year brings new artists to commission from on deviantART. I was casually aware of Taclobanon and his gallery of work is good. His style is in the vein of comic book style portraits and covers and I requested a comic book character for him to draw. I hope you enjoy this new addition to my gallery that involves a parallel relation to the Phalanx.

Title: Technarx Assimilating Marvel Girl
Background:
In an alternate comic miniseries by Marvel Comics titled, X-Men: The End, one of Mr. Sinister’s minions is a techoorganic creature named Technarx. His powers of assimilation are parallel to the Phalanx and he is loyal to Mr. Sinister. He assimilated Cable, Warpath, and Shatterstar with his version of the transmode virus and turned them into his minions. He also infected Marvel Girl, but is defeated after she uses her Phoenix powers to purge herself and Cable of his influence. This is an alternate ending to the story where she is unable to overcome Technarx’s influence.
Story:
In the final confrontation of X-Men against Mr. Sinister’s Marauders, Marvel Girl was attacked by Cable, who had been previously assimilated by Technarx. Through Cable, Technarx infected Marvel Girl and assimilated her physical body. While she tried to fight him off psychically, she was overwhelmed in astral combat by the combined powers of Technarx and Cable. Defeated in the end, the newly assimilated Marvel Girl became Technarx’s minion and attacked her former allies, infecting them as well.

Pretty nice.
There's an couple of issues of the old X-Force series (88 & 89) where a similar character, Paradigm, takes control of the team members Siryn, Domino, Sunspot, Warpath, Cannonball, Boom Boom, and Moonstar.

I know what you're talking about. I had those comics downloaded and I read them a while ago. I didn't think to save copies of those images though. It's my loss but, it's okay, I have other references to rely upon.
