Description Nyctosaurus is a very unusual pterosaur. It lost its front digits, except the wing finger, but it did delete its terminal wing phalanx. It most likely had a sea bird lifestyle and took it one step further than its kin Pterandon. For these reasons it is shown bobbing on the water, and I'm not the first to do so. If you think it's wings look weird, join the club, but after drawing it as I felt it looked most realistic Witton pointed out the fact that it couldn't bend that way (cheers Mark). If Nyctosaurus was anything like everything else (which it isn't *shrugs*) then this is pretty much how it must have sat. Notice the inflated fairing post wing finger.
