History

Ratkit was the firstborn kitten in a litter of two born in Leafclan. The litter was made of Ratkit and Mousekit. Just like his sister Mousekit has a patchy pelt which was a lighter shade of grey. The mother of the two kittens was Shrewbite, a queen of Leafclan who was using her right to keep the father a secret. This was because the father was Lycan a former kittypet and a rogue at the time. It was Lycan who passed Mousekit and Ratkit his genes giving them his patchy pelt.
During early kithood, Mousekit died of hypothermia and Ratkit almost suffered the same fate. Their short, patched fur was not adapted to the Leafclans territory. As Shrewbite watched as the clan elders took her dead kitten to be buried, she huddled her surviving kitten close to her thick fur to share warmth. During the day she would gather more moss with the assistance of apprentices to keep her daughter warm, a habit Ratkit picked up as well when she could walk.

Once Ratkit was made an apprentice, she stopped sleeping in the nursery like all the other cats her age; Ratpaw kept gathering extra moss and feathers to keep her next warm. Since Ratpaw stayed close to mother during her kithood, she lacked social skills making it difficult to socialise with others. In addition to that, the fact neither Rodentpaw or Mousekit was adapted to the Leafclan environment made her fellow apprentices suspicious of who Ratpaw's father was. This lead to some cats avoiding her and when put with Ratpaw's lack of social skills, Ratpaw was alone. Even her mentor was sceptical, resulting in Ratpaw staying close to her mother.

Around the time Ratpaw was named Rattwitch, her mother Shrewbite, died by greencough.

Facts about your character

- Rattwitch's ears are extremely sensitive, high pitch noises such as bird calls can give her headaches.
- Rattwitch tends to go hunting and patrols when it is dark, her exposed skin is sensitive to sunlight.

- This she-cat get's cold easily so she tends to have more moss and feathers in her nest.
- Rattwitch loves to collect feathers, especially pretty ones.

A fluffy, feather-like tail rested on the ground in one of dens at the Rapidclan den. The tail belonged to a sleeping she-cat with semi-long fur, this semi-long fur wasn't as good at keeping out the cold like most of the she-cats clanmate's fur, well that was what her tail was for. Tranquilwhisper's fluffy tail was helping her warm herself up while she slumbered, its long fur intertwining when the semi-long hair on her flank.

A snowy she-cat leapt from rock to rock, rushing water clashed with the lower sections of the rocks at the current time. As the she-cat landed, her soft paws cushioned the little impact of each landing. After they landed again, one of the cat's paws gave way as is slid down the side of the rock causing the she-cat the fall into the rushing river. There was only a few moments for the she-cat to catch their breath before being engulfed by the savage waves which twisted and clashed against her white body. As each moments passed, the cat suck deeper and deeper, unable the reach the surface...

Duo-coloured eyes shot open as Tranquilwhisper burst out of her nightmare, the gatherer panted the loudest possible for her lungs. When her panting began to slow down, Tranquilwhisper rose to her paws and exited the den. Right now what she needed was food, something to sink her teeth into as an attempt to forget the nightmare. As the she-cat exited the den, her duo-coloured eyes watched a familiar figure leave the freshkill pile. In an attempt to get the toms attention while she herself snatched up a fish, Tranquilwhisper shouted as loud as her damaged vocal chords could let her which wasn't very loud. "Hey wait up!"
