unlike riz I hated Rome.. I thin ones view on any city is relative to the view from ones hotel and the hotel itself our was rubbish as was queuing up for three hours to see the sistine chapel a woftam

But even if the view had not been so beautiful, I still would have adored the city.
Our longest queue wait was only about 20 minutes for St. Peter's, but I'm guessing that has something to do with going in early February.

ahh I see ... not the view we had which was of a car park.. there was no hot water in the hotel... we were there in September which I guess is closer to peak season.. than Feb.. ahh well we are planning a road trip of the States sometime probly 2011 and will have some crummy motels then for sure... gonna drive from NYC to San Fran then up to Seattle then back across the top of the US to NYC again.. wish us luck! WE shall be calling in to see some internet mates whilst we are there as well .. shall toot the horn as we go past your place kekeke
