The lighting on this piece is wonderful. I like the simple textures you used. It still resembles fur, but in an abstract way. You did very well blending the shadows and lighter parts of the picture. The style is nice, it is very relaxing and smooth. However, I feel there are parts that are not as defined as others giving it a slightly uneven appearance. The forward paw seems to amost blend into the sheet at points, and th lack of definition on that leg makes it look very short and dimensionless. The eyes are wonderful, the reflections and the colour look very natural. The whiskers look slightly swept, giving them good motion and a natural appearance. Many times they look stiff in paintings, but they do not here. The gradual darkening of the negative space around the cat really draws attention to the bright face as the focal point. The dimension in the face itself is very well done, it looks nice and rounded like a real cat would.
