Human face practice...I know my coloring sucks it makes Maria looks like a ghost XDanyway,hope you will still have a good dream .
Somebody noted me that they hope to see fanart of Maria from me.I ' m wondering if this painting way would bring good effect when I draw her in hedgehog version.. =.=

Coloring is pretty much the opposite of suck. I love her ghostly look, the way she fades around the edges, and the sorrow in her eyes.

It certainly is eerie but it's beautiful all at the same time. The ghost like faded look is suitable for her since... well she only lives in Shadow's memory and her death was a tragic one. I just love the detail on her eyes and lips!

Well technically she would be a ghost at this point XD so in a way it's a realistic portrayal? XD
Anyway a beautiful piece in itself I love the detail on her face, though I do wish you used the same level of detail on the rest of her, but I guess it does help in bringing focus to her face which just eerily stares at the viewer.

Mon Dieu! It's really... phantasmagorical! I love it! It reminds me of the ghosts in The Haunted Mansion, you know? Love the shadings, and the way the colours are mixed to give that glowing effect.

You say that the painting makes her look like a ghost, I don't think that's a bad sign taking into account that we are talking about a deceased character.
Nice coloring, also this realistic aproach has a beautiful effect on the overall.

I love it Leoz, her face looks really good. I think her ghost like looking is just cause of the dark background and she has no outlines, but it is great like that.
And I really love her eyes and the nose! It is so difficult for me to draw good human noses XD And by the way she looks more mature in your picture than in other fanart. I like this adult version more X3
