Really amazing! I love the lighting and how the little island comes into focus as it gets closer.

It's looking so lovely! I can't wait to see everything you've been working on finally start coming together.

very talented and amazing work. I wish you can create more like it with different creative ideas. As a matter of fact, I'll shoot you one idea as a note. Β

Wow, this is fantastic!
The ocean looks so realistic and I love the rays of light! Purely magical! It's like you combined the best aspects of 3D and 2D in the same animation (The island with the tree is painted and the water and light is 3D render if I see correctly?). Beautiful work! The mist looks so good with the actual shades of the tree showing there ugh what a nice thing X_X Love it!
If you ever do something along those lines again would it be too much to ask you to lifestream it or record it? I'd love to see how you achieved that result but I understand if that's too much of a hassle.

Thank you
Actually, there aren't any actual 3D objects in this. The water is a 2D animated fractal that had a perspective transformation applied to it and the light rays were made using a radial blur (whose center was the moon) overlayed over the original video.
I've thought about livestreaming before, but I haven't done it yet because I never work on anything consistently (I do a little, then surf the web, then do a little more, then go run, and so on). My livestreams will all just have long periods where nothing at all happens, and I assumed that'd be annoying to the viewers.

Wow! It looks so good! I did not expect that! Is this done with After Effects? Or what program is capable of making such cool and convincing water and mist : O
The way you describe it it sounds like those effects are pretty quickly made and yet the result is so fine! I must learn that technique ugggh I'm so inspired!!!
Ahhhhh the old tale of distraction XD I know that feel. Yeah that would be pretty annoying, unless you cut it together and speed it up for YouTube but I think you're better off using that time to actually animate and do what you enjoy.
Btw thanks for always taking the time and answering my questions!

The water was generated in After Effects (which, I don't know if you know this already or have After Effects already, but if you don't, you can download AE 7.0 for free if you have an Adobe ID, which is also free to make). You just make a solid and go to Effect->Noise&Grain->Fractal Noise and play around with the settings. The mist and cloud-things were painted in Photoshop and imported to After Effects as a .png with transparency, they're not really an effect.
No problem

Hmm I don't really find it on the Adobe-site, it always tries to sell me AE CC for 25β¬ per month which is an outrageous price : O I'll try to find another source *cough cough*
But thanks anyway! I'm glad it works for you

Photoshop to draw the tree island and clouds, After Effects to generate the water effect and animate everything.
