Which I stole from someone else here on dA who stole it from an official MLP Flash game or something.
The color strips are animated using the same shape transformed with layer masks.

It's amazingly smooth...except for that seam. I feel like it could be looped a little more cleanly, especially given your skill.

This is part of a larger scene, I purposefully didn't make it a perfect loop. (I didn't want the end of the shot to be identical to how it started since there's so little happening in this shot. I wanted it to feel like some progress has been made from beginning to end before it moved on to the next shot.)
But thank you for the suggestion, I wish more people would critique my work like that xD
