About whether it will be a FPS or a FPRPG, I can't tell for sure. We shall see... Vampire was an RPG (FP/TP), and I never play with guns because of that. On the other hand, games like System Shock, Bioshock or Deus Ex are First Person Shooters with RPG features.

I'm eagerly awaiting FO3, though, if only to see the reaction from the public ^^ I'll probably not buy it though.

Also, I can't prove to you Fallout 3 will have first person perspective, so, if you don't feel like believing a complete stranger over in the interweb, just don't, and wait for some gameplay footage to be shown

in fallout I loved the story and the huge number of conclusions, all of that was created thx to Troica. In vampire bloodlines they did even better and the FP view allowed me to empathize with the character. One more notice, in vampire you didn't have to shoot even a single time if you want so it wasn't FPShooter
since that game I'm convinced that FP is the best for RPGs (I recommend alsow Call of cthulhu darck corners of the world)

Remember that one of the main aims of Fallout is to recreate Pen and Paper experience in a post apoc gameworld. And P& is Turn Based top down with real time first person dialogs Of course you can say First Person is best for immersion and stuff, and I may agree, but it's just not Fallout... Also, real time takes off a lot of the tactical freedom the devs wanted (and did, to some extent) to implement in Fallout... This is all being discussed in the official forums, and in a lot of other places. If you'd let me, I would recommend you the largest fansite in existence (but you probably know of it already): [link] . A lot of crazy people in there, but, as they say, they were here before the fall... Just read a bit and feel yourself at home, both in the official forums and in NMA's...

Everybody has its personal preferences, but when it comes to sequels and game series (if we are not talking about spin-offs - I have little against them), one should always keep in mind that, if we are able to make a "Game" 2, it's because the "Game" 1 was well received, and it's very very risky to change key concepts of it (improve it, YES! Fallout has LOT of things that need improving): which, in this case, is relying on character's skills and not player's skills (so not "aim yourself" or crappy minigames for lock picking), and deep simulation of pen and paper experience. Of course that you may not like everything about Fallout (like turn based and top down view), but if you liked the first two games, and if Fallout 3 stays true to them, you will surely like Fallout 3 too. If FO3 doesn't stay true, then it's not guaranteed you will like, and no guarantees are something devs are normally afraid of, SPECIALLY when developing sequels...

Aww... Time will tell. Let's hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Ahh... You know? Fallout 3 could well be the first recent game I play in years!
