Hey ebbs? I have one final question to you. How do you usually do the lighting? i have been so confused on how to do it, and you make it all smooth and cool, and then mine is all, *Ptthooth*

so do you just do the same blur you use with shadowing?
well, ya see.. what i do is i just use the blur tool and change the rate to 100 but it doesnt look like yours so im not quite sure what or where the guassian blur effect is.

What i do is i use the paint brush tool to color the area i need shaded and then i us the paint bucket. I double click it so that it turns out to look all blocky and weird but thats okay. From there I use guassian blur and set teh opacity to 40% But make sure its on a different layer ;D

grr. so u do the same thing with lighting, and u change the blur tool to 40% or the layer to 40%? Blarg.. i can be so bothersome

Actually I dont use the blurr tool at all ;D Its the guarssian blur effect up in the tool bar at the top. Its under effects or something like that... Anyway, I set that to about 10 and it blurrs all the black area nicely. I do the same for lighting but i create to layers to do that. For the lighter areas (its going to get complicated ;D) I use the paint brush tool and find the areas I want to lighten.
From there i paint them and then set the opactity to 70% So i can see through it. Then I go to another layer right above it and paintbrush a smaller area of white within the area I just made. Then I blurr bloth layers and set the opacity to 10% for bother. That should create a nice light area ^^

Yeaf, both of the different layers should have the opacity at ten that way it looks like the white sheen gets brighter toward the middle ^^

it does? but if i make both at the same thing and they both have the same opacity when i drew them then it looks the exact same!

Hmm... Did you have it on different layers? Cause when you draw the light areas you need two different layers ;D
The first should be a wide area and then the second should be smaller and within the wide area but on the second layer ^^ Then you set the two different layers to 10% That should make teh centers lighter than the outsides ;D

oh! i actually get what you just said.... but i think guarssian blur is supposed to be in the tools part up at the top(there aint a effects bar;D) only prob is i have gimp2.6.8 so it might not be there.
