This piece is for a contest hosted by Elves Elite. The challenge was to draw one elf of your own and one somebody else made up.So this is my thing. The elf someone else made up, is Thranduil (who bears an uncanny resemblance to Legolas... dur) and the one I made up, is the she elf (she is nameless for now). Since Tolkien (the undisputed master of all that is Middle-Earthian) never specified who the Queen of Mirkwood was, I decided to give Thrandiul someone. Obviously, Legolas did not materialize out of a mushroom.
It could be a prettly little story really, a Sindarin Prince, having travelled far from his home, meets a beautiful Silvan maid in the realm now ruled by his father. Such romance... I'm going to go and have a chocolate rose.
