I was asked by someone to try to adapt a model of a Rebel Star Destroyer made in Legos into a 3D ship. I said I'd work on it on my spare time and this is a screen shot of some of the work I did on it. Actually, I've done a lot more since I took this shot of it. The original creator called the ship a 'Rebel Avenger Star Destroyer' and so that is what you see here. I am clearly not an actual 3d modeller, I simply put shapes together, add greebles and texture them. This ship is decisively Venator-like in appearance, but it has heavy canons in each 'arm' and two on each side of the nose tip. This shot doesn't show that. I'm not finished with the 'conning tower' either. In fact, I have a second Star Destroyer that I'm working on that is a bit more complete than the Avenger, but it is smaller as well. I plan to finish both of the ships and hope that they will look more professional than the handful of ships I've 'Frankenstein-ed' together in the past. I'll post more updates later.
