Description
This bridge was built in 1896 as part of a trolley system connecting Glen Echo to Washington, DC. The trolley last ran just prior to WWII.Note the culvert in the distance.

If you find yourself in the DC area, it is worth a little side trip. Most everyone hits the giant tourist traps and museums. I prefer the quiet backwaters.
