That challenge dA had last year, "Kick your own ass"... Hahaha I loved the idea of it, and wanted to try it out for myself. xD So I visited some of my old work, and MAN oWo.So it's a piece from 2007 VS the piece I started and finished today. C: lol it's so different. xD I didn't add that thing around his neck 'cause it looks retarded. O:
2007 was when I was getting really interested in semi realism//realistic art, so I practiced a whole lot. And I'm still going..... ;D
It's a long road ahead, but it's hella fun :'D

I think the nose does indeed look too big. Try narrowing it by using more black at the curly part on the bottom up a little further to make it look a little more narrow.

2007 was roughly when I wanted to learn more about semi-realism too, and like you the process has been painfully slow, I kind hate those who can make this same quality leap in just a year

You have improved a lot. XD Only thing is, the proportions are off. Even if it's semi realism, it of course has to still follow realism in the fact that it has to match in terms of measurements. His nose bridge is too wide. In between his two eyes is suppose to be the same length as one eye. So if you drew your eyes two inches, in between the nose would be two inches. It's hard to explain to you wants wrong with his nose and mouth but I know what's wrong...just I don't want to confuse you.
But all I'm saying is, everything has to line up if you were to draw a straight line from his nose up to his eye..and from his lip up to his nose to his eye. So everything has to be straight...but if you were to draw a line with your current measurements..it doesn't line up with a single part of the body. It just goes through onto skin.
Other than that, your works still amaze me. I love your style and your blending. Color choices..and how the irises were done. Keep on improving.
