The Goddess of Coffee.

Were I not raised Roman Catholic this would definitely be a forerunner for me.

Wonderful work. The use of warm colors really work well to bring forth your idea here.

*Chuckle* I wonder if there's a goddess of 7-11 Slurpees?

Um… What does "Roman Catholic" have to do with this?

Ryusukanku In reply to echo-x [2014-03-13 03:07:56 +0000 UTC]

...She's the Goddess of Coffee.

In other words she'd be the deity I'd be worshipping.

It was a quick one-two gag.

I think that is one is the best in the series, it's so rich and exotic looking and her pose is very dynamic and sensual. But I also love that you put poppies in the hair of the bread goddess.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

echo-x In reply to Bergholtz [2012-03-21 21:50:37 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. Coffee was the first one I did for the series and one of the few that I had a clear vision on from the beginning.

Good for you to notice the Poppies. I fit in every possible elements I could about the food category for each piece - and I LOVE poppyseed bagels.

Halloween isn't a food, so it wouldn't be part of this series. I haven't tackled holidays yet - but someday I expect to be commissioned for them.

I always like the sensuality you imbue to your women of color. So many others don't perceive or understand this. But then, few also get the concept of sensuality and implying things through the subject's body language and eyes. You know how to make women look attractive without the need to become vulgar or to show skin. Very well done, as always.
