Description Crixies are endemic to a semi-arid mediterranean region which has relatively flat ground and occasoinal shallow flooding during the rainy winters. crixies will rest on their bellies to feed on shrubbery throughout dry season, otherwise their diet is exclusively luquafruits. crixies travel in gregarious roaming bands of up to 15 individuals, and are very vocal and expressive, even capable of parrot-like mimicry. They have excellent hearing and eyesight with a preference for the color blue. They have wide territories, and when confronted with another band they will first screech and flare their crests, but if their opponents refuse to back off they will fight, kicking with their powerful legs to knock their opponent off-balance. at the onset of winter females will select a luqua tree and guard it. In order to win her affection a male must escape her fast reflexes and steal a fruit from the tree. if he succeeds they will mate and she laids a clutch of soft, leathery eggs {to hold in moisture.} on the occasoin of flooding, they will build up a mud mound to keep them dry. males are cinnamon in color while females are smaller and darker. They manipulate food using their beaks and are well adapted for bipedal locomotion.
