these tiny denizens of the shroom forest are adept at discerning which mushrooms are safe to eat and which are poisonous. they travel in lively roaming bands which swarm together from mushroom to mushroom, nibbling upon them as they spit out digestive fluids from their proboscis. They also have a symbiotic relationship with one small fungus, which isn't a mushroom but evolved from a separate genetic line and also produces a fruiting body, except from that arises many bioluminescent sporangium. when the gabblegins feed on this fungus the spores stick to its proboscis, and when it travels to the next fungus it becomes pollinated. gabblegins are nocturnal and love shaded, cool places in the dark. they are basically blind and rely on their sense of smell, touch, and hearing to navigate their world. They are quiet animals and although they look spooky they are totally harmless. sometimes they walk on all fours while other times they walk on their hind limbs. their feet have gecko-like toes allowing them to climb up to the tops of mushrooms and sometimes they'll just hang there under the cap during the day, to evade predators on the ground below.
