Challenge Day 16A bit of a change today, my normal daily challenge camera is todays subject - a Canon 1Dmk1 with and 50mm f2.5 Macro
Todays pic was taken with a Canon 1Dmk4 and 50mm f2.5 Macro, Pocketwizard Flex and Mini, 580EX2 in Ettl and a bit of A4 paper as a diffuser.
the paper is sitting about a centimetre above the hotshoe, to create a nice quick falloff across the body
A second Layer, and a quick Levels adjustment was used to lighten up the front of the Lens - something i could not have done with shooting with the 1Dmk1, the Mk4 holds so much shadow detail its amazing.

These 1 series cameras are my dream
ATM I have a 50D with 5000 klicks and a 60D with 3000 klicks.

They used to be my dream too.
They are great cameras, I enjoy playing with the old mk1, but the mk4 is just incredible, I am frequently surprised with what it can do.
Mk3 wasnt so good, AF problems, and the WB was pretty average too.
I used to have a 40d, it was a great camera too, I would happily take one over a 1Dmk3, from what I have read the 50 and 60d are excellent cameras too.

The 50/60Ds are enough for my budget 
Sold my EOS 350D with almost 50.000 klicks and this bitch is still working
Just thinking about the 300mm f/4 L but this is way too much for me.

My personal gear is a mk2n (100,000ish clicks, just blown it's second shutter) a mk1 (no idea how many clicks) and a 350d (probably around 75,000 clicks and still kicking.
Work gear is a mk3 and mk4, the mk4 probably has 15,000 clicks already and is only about 3 months old.
My camera gear was making me money, but now my work supplies me the gear I need to do my job, and I'm no longer buying new gear.
Better off having photography as a hobby, after spending all week out shooting, I no longer really want to pick up the camera on my days off (which was the point of this challenge, to make me look for a good picture a day)

Sounds great. My pictures were shown on some 'famous' sides here (like Volkwagen Motorsport Austria) but it is not my daily job. Photography for me is to come down, to relax and opening my eyes. I did almost 40.000 car pictures so I stopped that and try to make some nature shots ATM. Next week I'm in the alps, so I hope I can do some nice shots
