Description
Sorry about the relatively low quality of this one, and blurring. It was taken handheld, on a long exposureBeen at work a lot over the past few days, so not much time to snap many pictures. Should be changing now though.

since this was digital, (im assuming) what shutter speed were you using? excellent picture. I have yet to do lightning. i live in a place where it almost never rains or even thunders.

I used a 5 second shutter speed, handheld, in the middle of what must be the biggest thunderstorm I've ever been in before.
Even then it took well over 40 shots to get some good ones

I understand that COMPLETELY! Sometimes you just have to keep snapping, hoping for the right moment, then BAM! u have it. Its called self-gradification (no pun intended).

Very impressive shot, must have been pretty difficult to catch something like this....the lightning strike looks pretty ferocious. It helps that you got so much of the sky in as well, makes the ground look completely outdone by the sky. Fantastic picture anywayβ¦..

Wow, nice shot... though, if the res was higher it would look a lot better. Nice nice nice.
