Hey nice work with this skin, i'm using it for a while now!

And since you added support to other languages in the last versions, i made a little contribution to the code for adding Italian. I uploaded the .ini file, updated with the new language here: drive.google.com/open?id=1hx4a_YxwE1Dvytw4lgSoD78h0JPDgHI1 if you'd like to publish it

Thanks! Other languages can be added fairly easily (as you did). I started with a few, and would rather have the end user follow my example, to add their own. However, I will see about adding the Italian version to the download. Thanks again!

How to translate it to Spanish (Conditions = T-Storm, Cloudy, etc.) ?

Eclectic-Tech In reply to mauro2284 [2017-04-13 15:58:01 +0000 UTC]

Added translations for 5 Languages for all items...

Eclectic-Tech In reply to mauro2284 [2017-04-11 14:05:15 +0000 UTC]

Locate the URL=... line (~line 132) and add '&locale=es_ES', save and refresh the skin.

The end should look like this: Url=.../local/#location #?cc=*&unit=#unit #&dayf=6&locale=es_ES

This will translate the 'Conditions' to Spanish, but the other text will not change.

Eclectic-Tech In reply to HyPeXeLeD [2016-10-20 01:02:45 +0000 UTC]

I will post a modification that should handle.

You can correct it now by:

Deleting the [meterBackground] section from the skin.

And modifying the [Rainmeter] section adding 3 lines (requires you to have the illustro skin installed):
(NOTE: Remove the single quote marks around the 'at' sign;
they are only needed so it displays correctly on DeviantArt)

Background = #SkinsPath #illustro \'@'Resources\Background.png
; Uses a path to your copy of Rainmeter\Skins\illustro
BackgroundMode = 3
BackgroundMargins = 0,34,0,14

Could you tell me how to get a clear background instead of the black board-like style?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eclectic-Tech In reply to SpaceMC [2016-09-22 00:08:52 +0000 UTC]

Just comment out the ImageName line in the [meterBackground] section by adding a semi-colon:
[meterBackground]
Meter=IMAGE
; ImageName=#RootConfigPath #resources \Images\Background5Line.png
X=0
Y=0

Toronto Canada code is CAXX0504

I used the locator skin included in the package to set, and it works for me...

MrJM1803 In reply to ??? [2016-08-20 22:29:59 +0000 UTC]

Celsius doesn't work for me. It says °C as unit but the data is still in Fahrenheit. It says 60°C which would be 140°F ...
EDIT: I got it. Unit=m works. Unit=c not. But you said "set weather unit to F for Fahrenheit or C for Metric" which is wrong.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eclectic-Tech In reply to MrJM1803 [2016-08-24 13:21:48 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I corrected the text (should have said 'TempUnit' not 'Unit'), and modified the context menu actions to correctly set the 'TempUnit' variable to F or C.

Thanks for finding that!

I'm not using the beta version of rainmeter and I can't use this skin. Is there a version that I CAN use?

Thanks!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eclectic-Tech In reply to Maeilboex [2016-07-28 14:05:50 +0000 UTC]

You can open the file using any decompression tool and manually extract the skin folder to your Rainmeter skins location, then refresh Rainmeter.

There are very few reasons not to use the latest Rainmeter version, and all my skins are set to that level.

Hey, I love it! Thank you so much! But is there any way to display the current temperature in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eclectic-Tech In reply to Vowlenhart [2015-09-04 02:22:03 +0000 UTC]

Yes.

Right-click anywhere on the skin to show the context menu.
Select 'Edit...' to open the skin file in your text editor.
Scroll to the [Variables] section, and change:
weatherUnit= from f to c,
change the windUnit= from mph to kph.

Save the file, and refresh the skin from the context menu.

I see the string indexes for forecast in the text file. Is it possible to add these to the display? How?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eclectic-Tech In reply to thnvfr [2015-06-22 16:08:37 +0000 UTC]

Yes, but it is something for you to do...
I included those details to help end users in customizing the skin.

Save a copy of my original skin.ini and then start modifying in you favorite text editor...

You could start by 'replacing' the String Index number on one of the current 'measures' sections, and refresh to see the result. You will need to modify the associated 'meter' section to correct the display.

Basic Rainmeter function: A 'measure' sections gets the info (by a string index number, in this case), then the 'meter' section displays it.

If you need help, please post your question at Rainmeter Forum ~ Share Your Creations
You can find a post in "Share Your Creations" for this skin.
