Tools: Sketched and drawn with mech. pencil (0.7 mm lead) on paper, colored digitally
Notes: Lighting/semi-realism/hand practice. =A= need more practice.

Pencil lines can be darkened with different types of lead softness, such as 6B (nice and dark), or even 12B (why do I even have this dark of a pencil).
You can also edit contrast and such digitally.

I don't really draw fanart anymore (practicing creativity and crap), plus my fanbase isn't large enough to increase the views by itself and bumping it up the page rankings XD

Like on this one, I see no possible external inspirations. It's almost as if you made it come out of thin air! That is hard beyond all belief these days with how much stuff is being thrown around!
If I were you, I'd do as many as possible like this. If you got talent, show it! Show it like snoop dogg and his many strange and gaudy necklaces!

Unfortunately, they don't always go in my sketchbook; such ideas usually pop in my mind during random times and I doodle them on homework or whatever XD
pretty much nothing is truly 100% original; there has to be some sort of small spark or influence that one may not even be conscious of.
For example, when designing a character's clothing, we are influenced by current and past styles or from games and movies.
This picture was drawn a little before Valentine's Day, and I felt like drawing something slightly sad with a small connection to V-Day. It was also to practice lighting and semi-realism.
