Description A true hero of mine, Doug Jones really is the modern-day Lon Chaney, a man of a thousand faces. Probably most famous for his roles as Abe Sapien and The Angel of Death from the Hellboy films, El Fauno and The Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth, the silver surfer, and countless others as a man behind monster makeup who gives it life. Growing up with monster movies as I did, there's something special when it's real and tangible as opposed to CGI. I got to meet Doug and give him this piece at Mid-Ohio Con this year, and he is probably the sweetest most fun guy on the planet. If you ever get a chance to meet him, do it! Be prepared to get hugged and petted, though! :3

I'm really liking your artwork, and yes I agree that Doug Jones being IN the shot (as opposed to CGI) is part of his charm. I remember reading an interview about him where he mentioned that it's pretty nice having so many memorable roles while still being able to go get groceries incognito as himself.

Your choice of composition was wonderfully appropriate in this picture.

Thanks! He's easily the nicest celebrity to ever meet in person. He actually stopped by my table at Mid-Ohio con to check out my artwork, something that guest celebs at cons usually never do. He was such a joy.

Thanks! I used a pic on his website for reference, he's got a really unique face that's fun to draw!

He's at a lot of Wizard World Comic Cons, so those are a great place to meet him. I met him at one in Columbus where I had a table selling my art, and he even came by to check out my other work! He's the best celebrity in the world to talk to because he really makes you feel like a friend instead of just a fan
