Description
In the first game in the Gears of War series, it was hinted that the Locust creatures were quite advanced. In Gears of War 2 it was revealed that they were an incredibly sophisticated culture. In particular the Kantus monks were some of the coolest creatures I'd ever seen, and it seemed the perfect candidate for the main character of my spinoff story.Kiiml is the Kantus I designed for the story. Since he belongs to a tribe of Savage Locust seen in Gears 3, I made his armor more ramshackle with lots of leather and bone.

That reminds me, was it ever explained how the Coalition knew RAAM's name? I think Karn was given his name by Paduk. The Queen said Skorge's out loud for all to hear. But how did they know RAAM's?
And why is his name always spelled in all caps?

I suppose it's an oversight with the writers. I like to think that RAAM is always in all-caps because a locust general of his status and strength would demand that his name be shouted every time it is spoken.
