Description
Clint Eastwood: brilliant actor, brilliant director, a true american badass with a heart of gold. This was done for our narrative portrait assignment in digital illustration class. Since it had to have a narrative element, I imagined I'd portray him as literally part of the desert, especially the iconic monument valley of the american west.Related content

The pencil drawing for this was cool enough, but you've really captured him in the coloring The brushes that you used really give him a chipped and weathered feel!

Thanks I found out that scribbling with the pen tool makes my coloring look a lot like my pencil lines. And with this one, since he's a cracked and stone-like, I got to be extra scribbly.

Oh my GOD this automatically counts as part of your "celebrity monster portrait" project. This is SCARY. Especially how all the lines point to the middle of his face.

My reference photo was a very recent picture of him, it had a lot of high-contrast lighting on it that brought out every crevice and crack on his face. Without it, I don't think the picture would've turned out this way.

I've always thought he looks a bit like a boulder.
