Description
As a kid I always hated basements. Something about the huge empty void of pitch black, where all your hairs stand on end and if anything touches you, that's the end of it. This piece is inspired by that terrible time when you have to reach and grasp for a pull-chain for the light. As much as I hated the dark in basements, the only thing I dreaded more was what I might see standing there with me when the lights finally came on.It has to be said that I did this piece entirely while listening to Joseph Bishara's excellent soundtrack to Insidious. Gave me the willies!

I couldn't even lift my arm to turn on the basement light with out covering my armpit for fear of some creature tickling me in those dark spaces.
