Description
A portfolio practice assignment where we had to adapt something from classic literature. I chose good ol' Eddy Allen Poe's story The Masque of the Red Death. Instead of an empty cloak that contained plague, I wanted it to be a sort of creature that unfolded, plant-like, to reveal horrible innards and petals that spewed plague-ridden blood. This took a looooooong time to plan out and went through many stages of development. As usual I got rather hung up on making the mechanics of the unfolding actually work.I'm enjoying the Halloween season already.

That would definitely terrify me more than some cloaked man, even if said cloaked man had a skull face. This Red Death is so grotesque and alien. Scares me and disgusts me too. Perfect for a plague monster.
