Description My first job doing Shadowrun freelance illustrations was for Shadowrun Missions, pdfs of scenarios and stories you can run players through. Anybody can get them and use them in their games, but they're mainly for use at special events like conventions, where attendees will make characters and play through the scenario.

This Mission was called Romero and Juliette, where the players encounter zombies in the Shadowrun setting. One of the pictures I had to illustrate was a scene of the zombies overrunning a Doc-wagon station (think futuristic hospital).

Personally, I'm not big into zombies. For me, they're a lazy cop-out when it comes to monsters, a bore.
But this is the field of freelance illustration! When you've got a job to do, you do it, and make it your own. I was told to draw zombies, so dammit I'll do my best to have fun drawing 'em!

And to be honest, I did. As far as lighting and environment, I was forced to employ a lot of new tricks during the coloring process that I hope to get better at. Probably the most layers I've ever had in a piece before.
