Short tale (188 words)
It was said that the horses of the secret island in the area of New Guinea comes in various shapes and sizes. As time progresses along the decades, they slowly evolve to fit into the environment. First they have the Marwari horses, whose fight for survival out at sea landed them on the island, their own little safe place to rest and recuperate. Many wondered how they braved the treacherous seas, the elders love to tell tall tales of the sea taking pity on them, currents and waves pushing them to safety; some say the horses are born with an innate ability to control the seas and tide. But really though, no one can say for certain! This is a secret the horses guard silently.

The first Marwaris took note of the environment, their path of survival isn't over just yet. They would lounge by the pristine beaches, the seaside breeze blowing through their mane, occasionally watching the birds with fancy feathers do their little dance as they courted their mates. This is their little haven, along with the birds; this island is their home, their little paradise.

And then one little kuda had the grand idea of attaching dropped feathers to their tails, as the tales go xD much to the elder's annoyance who just wanted the kids to buy the magical tale WHEEZE

History repeats itself and like the event last year I rushed and completed this in like 2...3... days? x"D
I MUST CLARIFY THO, the short tale is my own little take referencing the breed history, take it as a non-canon tale my characters tell their village kids

Trivia!!! and thought process
- If anyone caught on that I arranged the kudas according to the sequence of subspecies introduced I'll kiss u /hj imagenius
The kudas emerging from the sea onto the land, in order, Kuda Pariso, Swan Kuda, Phoenix Kuda, and the most recent addition, Astrapias

- The sky has a lot of callbacks to astrapias collab-breed (Akkadorians), moon and stars are obvious, but the three lines and constellations are very inspired by markings and gold gildings of Akkas

- This is a very weird mishmash of styles, but I got carried away rendering the top part of the wave and just decided to keep it despite looking a little out of place, if you can recognise where the water rendering style came from, I'll give u a boop (It's KanLiu, or @/artof666k on insta, they are very amazing)
